Share my Pain.

Looking back several years

ago, we were children. We all grew up as children, but we all were not

privileged. My country couldn’t secure my future. My parents had nothing to

provide me. My father passed away when I was a baby. My mother became ill from

poor sanitary conditions…and she was gone. I was alone in the streets begging

for food. People passed by and didn’t even look at me. I was embarrassed and

humiliated seeing kids of my age going to school. I was exposed to violence and

extreme poverty. I had no clothes, no shoes and nowhere to sleep. I only

showered when it rained. My country is Haiti and my birthplace is somewhere in

the north of Haiti. My name is Jane and I was one of the 387 million children

in the world living in poverty. At 5 years old, I was among the 100,000

children suffered from malnutrition and underdeveloped in Haiti.
